So in a months time

A lot has changed. I finished most of my internal assessments at school so I can get to focus on my finals.
HAHA NOT
but i had the shittiest weekends for 2 consecutive weekends and I fully blame my mum for it.
I'm going to korea in like 3 days and I still haven't packed yet. I'm sooo lazy I didn't even go out today, and I spend my days just lazing in my bed and just browsing the web...
I really wanna eat instant noodles but we ran out, so there is absolutely nothing to eat at home, but i honestly cbf going out and buy something.
I kinda want to order pizza, but im too broke for that. plus mum will kill me.
UGH mum is getting on my nerves lately.
i need some motivation..

Lazy Sunday

I woke up at like ... 11? I'm surprised that I could even sleep last night because I took a 9 hour left after everyone left my house. I already had breakfast but I still really need coffee :(
Hm I got shit loads to do I need to:
- Do my Practice IOC and record it by TODAY
- Actually finish my HI
- Write my WL
- Study for Bio and Chem
- Study for Maths
- Prepare Jap IOP
- TOK presentation

and once that is all done and dusted, which I presume, will be by week 7
It's party time for me again. Actually, to be honest, I've never not had a break, even I got shit loads to do (with my EE and TOK etc), I always somehow forget about it and go clubbing or lazing off... but this doesnt mean that I finish my work early and make time for myself, it means I dont get work done and still just go because, well, I'm a brave motherfucker.

hm i havent updated this blog for a while and today i feel like it is THE day.

Hm last weekend I had a bitchin time at the club where I met this 24 year old guy and ended up giving my cold to him. GROSS

then this weekend I had my party with my school friends :)

We met at ruan thai and the food was ohhh my god so amazing!

WE took shit loads of pictures but I dont have any haha. 

we went to get ice cream after and the guy who works there was really cute we kept going back to him.

Then we went to my house, tho emma had to leave :(

there things just went completely randomly like sally finished the vodka so quick that me and alex went out in his car to find liquor store that was still open. NO hope. even countdown stopped liquor trade at 12 :(

anyways sally became desperate so me, sally, alissa and wingo set outside to find a liquor store, then we managed to take the cab to city for 10 bucks. the taxi drivers name was jason haha

and we went out to city and somehow the time flew and it was 4:30 when we cudnt find any liquor store or karaoke that was open. So we were super tired, me, alissa and sally were strutting in heels throughout the city. I met my new BFF erik, and he was french. he looked like david guetta.

Anyywaays yeah we took the cab home for 20 bucks, which is still a bargain and just collapsed to sleep. next morning we woke up super stoned and went to KFC for breakfast.

Well my life is soo much better, defs having more fun :)
Right now I'm just tryna do my EE but I've been distracted... yeah I'm kind of behind so I better do something about it.

weekend.

omg I had one of the busiest yet most epic weekend ever. 

On Friday, me and himali met up and we wandered around city drinking vodka & sprite.

We also met lotsss and lots of people and so many people were drunk lol

I did a bit of shopping, bought revlon colorstay foundation and photoready concealer (this concealer is sooooo good).

I also bought mac foundation, turns out im NC30 which I'm really surprised about, but then i have uneven skintone.

Then on saturday, my mum felt like drinking so she took all of us and all her workers out to dinner and we had korean bbq and lots of soju. my mum drove afterwards = = but she was fine.

then my brother bought this board game called sequence and it was sooooooo much fun!!! :):):) we stayed up all night doing it and i fell asleep at 8am = =.

Then sunday came so i wanted to visit himali but then my mum stopped me. well, catching the taxi to west auckland seemed like a stupid idea so i went to city instead. no himali :(

I met with won and his sister at the hair salon and we went to sky karaoke first, which tired us out basically and all of us were super hungry. So then we went to this korean bbq bar place that kevin had bday party at and we called kevin and jong bum but kevin didnt come because apparently he was 'sleeping' although I am pretty sure he was in PC room playing computer games.

WE had 곱창 which was super great and ordered lots of soju and beer. unfortunately, at the end there were tons left, so we played games to finish it. losers had to drink a glass (not a shot glass but a full beer glass) of beer/soju left. At first it was beer so it was easy, but a glass of soju is NOT GOOD. 

Anyways me and kyung jin kept losing = = especially me so basically we left the place smelling like a bar. We were too drunk we just sat down infront of auckland public library just watching the rain and giggling until we decided it was too fucking freezing so we went to starbucks to get some coffee (BAD IDEA). i had americano, again, and we also met terence and me and terence went out for a smoke, which I refused. I feel so good about myself, i managed to refuse a bohem and its one of my favourites.

Anywaays me and KJ took the bus, and i was BUSTING. like my bladder was in so much pain, but since me and kyung jin were the only ones on the bus, the driver stopped the bus when he saw a public toilet and i was fine:) although i threw up there I was drinking too much.

THEN, i got to KJ and KW's house and I got my makeup off, and I took another taxi home. geez taxis are so expensive. It was 추석, so all my dad's relatives gathered to one place and we had a skype conversations. It was quite fun actually, and I kinda made them wait coz I got home at around 12 and we promised to skype call at 11. anyways my mum told me off for drinking too much and all was fine. Then i didnt get any sleep on that night and went to skul on monday = = so i kept drowsing off at skul.

today wasnt so bad compared to yesterday.
yes, i got my chem result back but it didnt matter to me.
I got a free mee goreng (12 dollar dish!!) accidentally because they never charged me
aaaaand today i talked to all the people i missed
and tomorrow ill be meeting up with himali and hopefully get a little buzzy with some jager.

Interesante.

Today wasn't much, went out to lunch with my mum and my sis at some Malaysian place, then had nice coffee and tarts.
What really made my day was when I got a mail from Mikaela.
Mikaela wrote this like 4 months ago when we were in Nepal and Holly sent them to all of us couple of days ago I think. Anyways it was great.

Nice Drawing included too. Truly an artist.

I really miss her and I defs think that we should have another bitchin time together. I hope she comes up to auckland for uni so that we can be flatmates :) hahahaha probzz. Never really met someone like her before, seriously, and I think I'm lucky to have her as a friend. This wasnt just 'we got along really well' it was more like.... um,. not even 'where have you been all my life?'.. or . maybz.. but more than that it was like there was nothing coming in between us. ARGH this sounds so damn gay. but seriously we had nthing to hide from each other and i guess thats whats so special about us two :)

for those who didn't know, I am a DONUT LOVER.

an absolute fan. I could eat donuts only for the entire week and would be incred. happy.

Sooo today I was walking down queen street and saw that the Southern Maid donut shop was open! Although, I would've preferred it if it was the new Krispy Kreme shop, I liked it.

So I got 8 donuts to cheer me up from this immense headache that I had for a couple of days...

AND it did! although I didnt exactly eat any yet coz I lost all my appetite from the migraine BUT just looking at them and taking pictures of them made me so happy. I think I'll give them to my sister and take some for lunch tomorrow or something haha

UGH another boring blog entry.
Today i went to school superlate so I had lunch with debz and himali.
Then I went to school, then afterschool I met himali again and we had a bitchin time.
We went to that Taiwan festival thing and I got cotton candy and takoyaki.
We settled down with our food and ate and we talked about all sorts of things haha deep stuff and hilarious stuff. We also talked about her amnesiac grandma haha shes so cute.
afterwards i came home and I played go-stop for a while
and my mum came back from work with bro and we all went out to dinner in North shore.
I wanted to eat so much so I basically stuffed myself. I got like a massive stomachache after.
and we also had another hilarious chat about everything LOL

Instant Noodles Lovin

Today I thought I'd dedicate my post for something very special to me.
INSTANT NOODLES.
I'm talking about KOREAN instant noodles. They are just FANTASTIC.

In Korea, Instant noodles are a national item, and its high popularity for many years makes it so famous in other countries as well (this is starting to sound like a casual essay).
It is an iconic representation of unhealthy junk, cheap substitute meal and also, maybe, loneliness = =
it's like a cultural thing i guess.. its a cultural belief that many busy university students, poor couples, businessmen and unemployed who all live a lone. Well, its not exactly false...

Korean noodles (ramyun 라면) are different from Japanese ramen. Korean noodles generally tend to be spicy... while japanese ramen have many different flavors like beef, miso, etc.
Since I'm korean and I grew up with the korean version of instant noodles, i have a PASSION for them. Actually about 10 minutes ago I had one.

By the end of this blog (if you want to read the whole thing), you would be as knowledgable as me... in the instant noodles category.

SO I think I will go on to review different brands of instant noodles that I have tried many times so far.

This is Shin Ramyun (신라면) and this is one of the most (and I emphasize.. MOST) popular ramyun in the country. this is also my personal favourite. the noodles cook and taste GREAT and the soup is also amazing. Once you try this one, you woulnt' really want to eat others. This one is great with egg cracked in (but DONT pop the yolk), minced garlic and sliced spring onions.

This one is called neoguri (너구리 pronounced like nuh-goo-ri) which literally means raccoon. No raccoons added though, its just the name. The noodle for this one is relatively thicker than any other brands, and people jokingly call this 'udon' because of the thick noodles. The soup has a gentle flavor, so its great for people who cant handle spicyness.

This is just an average instant noodle called sam-yang ramyun (삼양라면) and this one is one of the most celebrity endorsed products. Despite its advertising, the taste is average and nothing really stands out. This is for people who don't really want to risk anything.. Eat this with some nice 'ripe' kimchi and it will taste great.. just like you would with any other ramyun. Koreans eat ramyun with kimchi a lot. im not really a fan of doing that but it tastes good. People also put rice in the soup and eat it when they finish noodles.

This one is called an-seong-tang-myun (안성탕면 pronounced ahn-sung-tahng-myun) and this is also very delicious. It is not that spicy, but it tastes great and this one is one of my staple choices. for this one, you can put an egg in but you can either pop the yolk or just leave it, tastes great both ways.

This one is called teumsae ramyun (틈새라면 pronounced tum-seh-ramyun) and this is omgso spicy. I had this one today and it is SOOOOOOO spicy. do not underestimate. i wouldnt say it is delicious, although I enjoy spicy food. This is just.. overly done. The soup powder contains wayy too much chilli powder i think. people enjoy this one coz its SO spicy but if you cant handle spicyness do NOT go for this one! It will really burn your mouth! and dont eat this with kimchi. 

This one is called Jin ramyun (진라면) and this is another very popular and common one. I had this a lot when i was little, but not so much now. This one comes in many flavours, the one pictured above is the spicy one :). Eat this one with kimchi and egg with its yolk popped and stirred inthe soup to make the thick mess.. it may sound gross but it tastes fucking super that way.

Although more types exists and I have tried a lot, I only mentioned the most popular and well known ones because if i dont, i could go on forever. There are many different flavours to these ones like kimchi ramyun and stuff which I havent really tried yet.

Many other foods have been invented with these lovelies 

Snacks:

You first open the packet, put the powder flavour in, Smash the noodles into pieces and shake so the flavour spreads evenly. You eat this one raw and it comes in diff flavours like BBQ, beef, chicken, ddeokbokggi, etc.

You just pop this in your mouth These are bite sized and round (sometimes have star shapes) and comes in 3 flavours as far as I know. The mild one (pictured above), pizza and black bean sauce. I like the mild ones the best.

Cuisine:

부대찌개 basically stuff everything you want in with those babies.

치즈라볶이 yeah its ddeokbokggi with ramyun.. with cheese. sounds gross but tastes good! a very popular dish hehe

짬뽕라면 is okay

라볶이 the thing above with cheese but without the cheese!!

and so on. People put in pieces of seaweed, sesame seeds, egg, ham, rice cakes, kimchi, beef, mushrooms, garlic, springonions, carrots, cabbages, onions, mussels, etc when cooking them but i like the simple original. After you eat them, you feel regret because you just ate something really unhealthy and you feel super bloated but that is all part of the fun.

YUM!!!!!

oh and I recommend Miso ramen for those who wants to try out japanese instant noodles. they are fantastic.

today i went to work early... ugh so yesterday i posted the blog like right after i came back.. but afterwards i went back out with my friends (debbie came to pick me up!) and we all went to nick's house for a little wild gathering. i drank too much and i came back home, fell asleep at 6 and woke up at 3pm when mum woke me up. i went to work really hungover and then at seven i went to Malcolm's dinner gathering coz he is leaving for states on Tues.
We all met at Wagamama and I met people I havet seen in ages like mandy (she has a bf now aww), lucy, selwyn, kevin, general.. lol it was great.

I just came home from that gathering. what an eventful weekend. I'm soooooo tired right now.
whatevs. I havent done ANY work this weekend, but i was supposed to hmm

I just came back from the ball .. wow a lot has happened.
Okay.
Himali lied to her parents about going to the grammar ball, she told them that it was AIC ball and that she was going with a bunch of indian girls. She even forged a ticket and said it would be set in Crowne Plaza. because otherwise her psycho parents wont let her go.
ANYWAYS her parents found out.

Sooo this is my day from beginning.
I woke up, took shower, got hair curled, had brunch and coffee with mum, got pedicure and manicure, went to get my makeup done at missha... which i didnt like... got dressed, did last minute hair curling then preball.

The preball was held at Debbie's dates house and it was quite good. They had tons of canape and fingerfoods, and everyone looked so gorgeous :)
Lots of photos and I saw some unexpected people there.
Then we took the limo and the shuttle to the Eden park place... the venue.
We waited outside for ages but then I met Catherine, Anna and Jess Jess outside (with their dates).
So we went in together, and they gave us a glass of bubbly each. and I met himali.
She looked sooo damn gorgeous in a gold dress... and I was with her for 10 mins until BAM her brother texts her saying 'parents found out. you're in shit. im not kidding. we're outside eden park waiting for you come out RIGHT NOW.'
and everyone starts freaking out.
Then himali texts back that we're not allowed to leave the building until 11:30... then i think the brother told something to the security guard and the DJ started calling her name saying that her parents wanted her. holyyy shit.
anyways she got kicked out, and i never saw/heard from her again.... wow I still don't want to call her because I'm pretty sure her phone is in her dad's hands...

Anyways I was pretty down from it for AGES (about 30 mins) but then me and my friends decided to enjoy ourselves again. I saw chelsea, cammy, lingling, tessa, gina, millie, sarah and other very unexpected people. There were also guys that I forgot about like Jesse, tom, alex, taylor, etc.

anyways we were on the dancefloor for about an hour and then it was dinner time so we all had nice dinner and dessert...  Then after a while, we headed to the dancefloor again for another hour of hardcore dance session (ugh i really dont get how to dance to dubstep) and then photo time.. so we go inthe photobooth and take some pictures. HAHA denny really knows how to pose seriously hilarious.

Anyways we sit at our table for a while because everyone is tired, then black eyed peas' dont stop the party comes on so we all sprint to the SUPER crowded dance floor for another dance session...
Afterball was cancelled because of the himali incident so I got my mum to pick me up :(
ugh my feet are KILLING ME. it hurts sooooooooo much.

The most popular tracks on the d-floor were super bass, champagne showers, party rock anthem, look at me now, get low, california gurls, billie jean etc.... so much fun to dance to.

I'm glad i went it was a great experience.. though my feet are killing me. it could've been better but I really liked it :):):)

okay i collected my dress from the alterations today and it fits REALLY tight..so it's kinda hard to breathe. i think it looks good, the dress is better than i thought.
so i go to city, book make up, meet up with sister and himali and we talk for ages.
and i drop off himali, and me and sister are stuck in city for ages coz she spent her money on a fucking cookie and now the vending machine ate her money so she had no bus fee.
ARGH.
after i came home, i took a shower, tried on my dress and my mum did my hair (she curled it bascially) and it looks pretty good. it goes with the image of the dress. Then i put some earrings on that were just rolling around the house, and it fits, and i have silver stiletto leather strap heels from the previous ball... for this ball... everything is about saving money. tomorrow, i will go to smith and caugheys and get a necklace to match my dress, and get my nails and pedicure done. :)

luckily himali and her ball date arranged a private afterball at this awesome fan fucking tastic hotel suite with tons of drinks and i think we might go clubbing.

me and ejae went to this random korean dress place after school and she helped me choose what looked good on me. there were these 2 that i really liked but i didnt have money that day so i didnt actually buy the dress...

today i bought a dress in modes.. i dont like it but i really didnt care coz all i was stressing about was going to the ball and getting it over and done with

im so lazy and tired these days.
omg! i cant belive my ball is in a week = = so underprepared.

i have scattered thoughts... right now i cant really stick to one focused post.
i went to kfc yesterday and ugh so disapointed. kfc on dominon road is the BEST.
the one i went to was just.. fail.

today i went out to new market and had hansan (vietnamese chicken rice noodle)
and it was just soooo delicious.

but im hungry again, and when i get hungry i always watch food videos on youtube

I had remi gaillard marathon because I was super bored. I am using a face pack (trying out turmeric coz my skin is so shit lately) and while waiting i didnt know what to do.. i didnt want to stare at the ceiling blankly so i decided to watch some remi. he has balls of steels. just fucking awesome.

I feel better

I didn't go to school today. It sounds really cheesy but I think I kinda 'recharged' my 'battery'.
Yeah, I don't like school very much, thats why it probably felt so good to not go.
Well I was going to go, but then I realised 'I'm to tired. I haven't slept. I NEED A BREAK'
sooo I went straight back home, took off my clothes and went to sleep.
Mum came home but she never came around my room so she didnt even know I was there.
I woke up at 7:00pm exactly, had dinner (only a tiny bit) and now I'm thinking about what a stupid decision it was to miss another chemistry class (so far I've only been to one class) but then I think the rest was worth it. I feel so much better and happy.
I think I'll give myself  a timeout once a month. Maybe my friends could join me too, so we could drive around to places like beaches, have a drink, maybe some smoke and just rest for the day.

adventures on the bus

LOL im at work while im typing this.
yesterday on the bus on the way home, these two drunks (woman and a man) sat next to me coz that was the only seat left. the man sat on the woman's lap and I could just smell alcohol and puke. They were PISS DRUNK.

Anyways I was feeling kinda uncomfortable and the woman was like 'BITCH PASS ME THE BOTTLE' to the man really loudly O__O and the man was drinking out of a massive whiskey bottle.
The woman was almost leaning on me while she was trying to look at that guys face (coz  he was sitting on her lap) and i was being pushed into the window.
she suddenly looks at me and starts to pat me on my knee going 'yee you alrite there... you're allgood'
wtf.. and suddenly LOL she starts to touch that guys balls and the guys like 'oh im getting a hard on.'
and they start cracking up. and that guys like 'oh when we get off and go to the toilet, im going to give it to you SIDEWAYS.'

my mum changed out internet usage limit to 80gb O___O
so from this month.. from today,... i can use 80gb... YES.

today i found this AMAZING brand called nOir that makes some of the best jewelry ever. like some rings are really tacky but some rings are just.. GREAT!

Me and Himali made more arrangements since we will be going to the same uni, taking same courses and everything. I told my mum that I will flat with her and she is all good with that. Also, we planned a trip to singapore for next year (FAR AWAY I KNOW BUT STILL NEEDS PREPARATION)
if that doesnt work, we always have a backup trip to Bahamas in the caribbeans :) so that's great.

Today Taishi gave me this cool/weird/interesting charm thing that if you put it in your wallet, it gives you money (supposedly). I think its working already coz I found 10 bucks on the bus. I'll have to thank Taishi tomorrow. Also for helping out with my impossibly hard japanese homework.

i was watching tv with my mum just about half an hour ago. we were watching NZNTM cycle 3, and this was my first time watching cycle 3 coz tbh, im more into ANTM.
aaanyways one of the models referred to AJ and i was like 'ohh i know a girl called AJ'
and suddenly AJ pops up and im like HOLY CRAP ITS HER.

yeeah, i actually knew her from ages ago when i was in year 7 i think...
we lost contact ever since i think year 11... i dont remember
its weird to see her on tv lol but good luck to her!!!

SHIT

i went over 40gb on our internet use (so we used up 80gb) this is a new record.
now my mum is SUPER angry so I had to tell heer Ive been watching all these tv shows like gossip girl and misfits and stuff = =

ohhh welllll

yesterday i went to this habitat for humanity house building thing with YJ and michael.
me and yj had to nail some boards into the wall and put plaster over them.
michael worked with this other carpenter called michael lol
soo we worked for like 8 hours and i got soooo tired towards the end my back and thighs were aching!!!
but i basically mastered the use of nail gun and hammer.

afterwards i invited them to my mums work and we had dinner lol it was so fun
we talked about a lot of things... esp the gay guy.
it was fascinating and lots of fun!! loooool we should defs do that agaain lawlz.

anyways that day i came home took a shower and collapsed into bed at like 6pm and woke up at 1pm today. new record! that is 19 hours i believe. so proud. im really outdoing myself these days.

aaaand today i went out to city coz i was supposed to meet Jae Eun but i went there like an hour late so I think she left but i called her an hour before we were meant to meet and i called her tons but she never picked up. oh wellz. so i met dami and yihyun instead.

and then i took my sister to borders (yes, wtf) and showed her all sorts of books related to fashion so she could study up. and we also spent tons of time reading the bobbi brown beauty rules. truly inspirational and informative.

made me feel a tad sad coz I wasnt following any of them haha

holidays are going soooo damn fast.

-History Essay assignment
- that fucking annoying chemistry assignment book

and I havent started any = =
but im glad we got some stuff out of the way.. like group 4 and IOP haha.. although they are minor..

my grades fell by heaps so i need to do tons of studying as well which i havent found much time to do.
i earned heaps of money during the holidays and I think ill stop spending like I used to .... all that money spent on food... drinks... clothes... alcohol URGH

ive decided to go to the ball
so now i have to go through the entire stress of finding a ball dress
and a make up artist
and the hairdresser
and shoes
but oh well im pretty excited
cant wait for preball, ball photos, afterball wastedness and getting glammed up.

today this guy didnt come to work and txtd my brother at the time he was supposed to show up that he couldnt come so him and my mum got fucking maaaaaaaaad.

but after work me, mum, my bro and jenny went for drinks at this korean soju place that kevin held his bday party at. We all had this korean alcohol thing and had lots of food and it was a good chat. we talked about all sorts of stuff and it was really hilarious to see my brother getting worked up when talking about the tony guy who didnt show up LOL
wanted to take a video.

i worked full time today = = we completely missed out on lunch so we missed half of our profit but we still managed to earn about 1200 i think... which is awesome.

but other than that i am sooo dead tired  = =
and i have to go to work again tomorrow.

me and debbie decided to go watch harry potter at 3am on the release date, and after we will drive around and drink tons of jack ds.
hmm im still deciding whether i should go to the ball or not = =
but i really like browsing through internet for awesome dresses. La femme has really nice ones :)
